Safiya here. I will take you through the short journey of how Gemaee started. I always thought that the fashion world is a charming place where all women want to have an important role. And while that may be true to some extent, there is also a deeper side to this industry that often goes unnoticed.

One of the first things that struck me was the fast-paced nature of the industry. Trends come and go at lightning speed, leaving behind a trail of discarded fashion items and a constant pressure to keep up. This not only puts a strain on the environment but also on the mental and financial well-being of consumers. As a CEO, I have made it my mission to create a sustainable and ethical platform, but I know that not all companies in the fashion industry share this mindset.

But also, I never agreed with quickly changing trends and excess consumerism that we eventually face at the end of this game. As a society, we have been conditioned to constantly buy and discard, and this mindset spills over into the fashion industry as well.
